Mesmerizing, High-altitude, Nocturnal Photos Of Las Vegas – Vincent Laforet

Here’s a series of high-altitude pictures by Vincent Laforet, a cutting-edge photographer who ascended with a helicopter to 10,800 feet above sea level to capture these jaw-dropping night views of the City Of Sins. ‘The most remarkable thing about Vegas isn’t the strip itself to me. It’s the pattern of perfectly rectilinear streets given the modern and basic layout of the city. I’ve never seen anything like it from the air. It absolutely looks like a computer motherboard or a memory chip from the air. You can almost see the electricity running through it. And then there is the central ‘Strip’ of buildings and hotels – it actually looks like a Monopoly board game of sorts with hotels and little ‘Eiffel Towers’ fit to scale…’
