Mystical Journey In The North Mexican Desert, Land Of The Ceiba – Leo Coulongeat Aka Erisphere

‘We have discovered in the Mayan calendar depicted on the Dresden Codex, one of the few surviving the Spanish conquest, that the Maya saw the Earth as a flat, square shape. Each of its four angles was located at a cardinal point and was represented by a tree of a color called Ceiba or ‘Tree of Abundance’. The Red Ceiba in the East, the White in the North, the Black in the West and the Yellow in the South. The Center hosting the Green Ceiba. I take you in this travel diary to the Northwestern extremities of the Maya world, the North-Mexican desert regions of the black and white Ceibas that tint my trip and color my photographs.’ – Leo Coulongeat, aka Erisphere
