Fake Face: Kota Yamaji Surreal Digital Illustrations In Bright Colors And Neon Hues

Kota Yamaji is a digital artist inspired by surrealist masters such as Salvador Dali, Giorgio de Chirico and René Magritte. Yamaji has just created a surreal series of 3D digital illustrations in bright and bold colors with a huge influence from the neon lights of Tokyo where he is based. With faces transformed into cubes, lemons and limes, trees and even globes, there’s a crazy, surreal quality to his images. False teeth, leaf-wrapped treats and unusual outfits add to the madness. About the series titled ‘Fake Face’, Yamaji comments: ‘One morning, we were aware that we had no real face’.
