Peaceful Hideaway: The VIPP Shelter Hotel At Lake Immeln In The Swedish Wilderness

The Danish company VIPP (famous for its iconic 1939 wastebasket, now in the MOMA) has created a prefab tiny home designed down to the last detail. The ‘plug and play getaway’ isn’t designed to blend into nature, but to float above it. More an industrial object than a piece of architecture. The prefab structure is built in a factory and the four modules are transported by truck to the site. VIPP has recently entered the hospitality space with the VIPP Shelter at Lake Immeln in Sweden, an hotel designed to cater to those among us who prefer to vacation far away from the crowd.
