Marek Okon Poetic Exposition Of A Low Tide Beach

‘Marek Okon was born a human being. Shortly after birth but not without considerable deliberation, he became Polish. Then four years later, he changed his mind and converted to a nature-loving Canadian. Since then, he’s taken on various mantels including Designer, Art Director, Tokyo Godson, Tunnel Spelunker, High-rise Organicist and Psychotropic Sommelier. For the past ten years, he has intermittently donned the photographer’s vest when unsuspecting models, lascivious still lifes and dubious landscapes have insisted.
Back in July I spent a cold and rainy afternoon wondering around a deserted low tide Isshiki Beach, with nothing but my camera and my friend Myu. These are the photos from that eerie, quiet, and motionless environment.’ – Marek Okon
