C For Cuba, C For Color: Salvador Cueva Captures The Bright Pastel Colors Of Cuba

Mexico-based photographer Salvador Cueva captures the colorful architecture of Cuba in a beautiful new photo series, ‘C for Cuba, C for Color’. The photos in this series highlight the striking symmetrical architecture, intricate patterned designs and bright pastel colors that epitomize the grandiose and eclectic Spanish and Moorish colonial style architecture of Cuba.
‘While in Cuba, what caught my attention the most were the colors, even more than the old cars, the explosion of color was in every street and in the clothes of the Cubans. We have already seen so many photos of Cuba, so I did not want to portray the same thing, that is why I wanted to focus on something different, the architecture alone attracts attention but the colors were what caught me.’ – Salvador Cueva
