Gregory Masouras Integrates Disney Fantasy Into Real-life Fashion

Masouras is a Greek photographer and illustrator who combines reality with fantasy in his works. In his ongoing project #AnimationInReality he reimagines our favorite Disney characters as real-life fashion models featured on well-known magazine covers.
The project began in 2014 after Masouras was struck by inspiration that came in the form of a cloud that looked like the Batman logo. Since then, he began to edit photos and eventually arrived at the idea of #AnimationInReality.
If seeing Pocahontas on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar wasn’t enough, Masouras also places Disney Princesses at the center of a catwalk. And just like the real models, the Princesses slay the runway just as effortlessly.
Gregory Masouras: ‘#AnimationInReality is intended to ‘integrate fantasy into reality’. Ultimately, my purpose would be the liberation of adult imagination by using tools that were, up to now, reserved for younger audiences’.
